2025 was a Massive Year

It's been a while since I have posted on this blog, and for good reason.

A great reason actually. 2025 was a massive year of change for me.

The year began with an amazing surprise when the love of my life proposed to me on our 13th anniversary!

At the end of April, we eloped and tied the knot at a wonderfully unique location in Nevada known as Nelson's Ghost Town in Eldorado Canyon. This quaint spot, nestled between canyon walls, offered a visually captivating and nostalgic atmosphere. It was filled with rundown buildings, vintage cars and planes, intriguing antiques, and stunning desert landscapes. Inspiration was abundant, and we absolutely loved it!

Our honeymoon took us across 7 states and 10,000 kms of wide open road, beaches, canyons, waterfalls, diners, boardwalks, and giant trees. Magical! ✨

We were all aglow in our newlywed love bubble, when Brent had the opportunity to change careers. So, as we were finishing up our honeymoon road trip, we peeked in on what would soon be our new home town in BC, then hurried back to the acreage to start packing for the next phase of our journey.

It was on Brent's birthday that we moved out of our house, and on my birthday we moved into our new home. Talk about destiny feels. 🌟

Now, as we settle in, I am ready to take in the beautiful scenery and friendly faces all around me. We are living in the mountains and valleys of BC's beautiful Rockies, and I am so inspired and excited to get back to the easel and start painting.

So keep an eye out for more blogs coming soon about the commissions I have been working on and the new pieces I am creating.

Oh, and a possible website name change. 😉
